(USA) Pope & Talbot, Inc. (NYSE:POP) today reported a net loss of $42.9 million for the second quarter of 2007 compared with a net loss of $21.8 million for the same quarter of 2006 and $18.6 million for the first quarter of 2007. The net loss for the second quarter of 2007 was $2.62 per share on 16.4 million shares, compared with a net loss of $1.35 per share on 16.2 million shares for the second quarter of 2006 and a net loss of $1.15 per share on 16.3 million shares for the first quarter of 2007. Revenues were $236.5 million for the second quarter compared with $213.6 million for the second quarter of 2006 and $200.5 million for the first quarter of 2007.
