Forestweb announced July 17, the release of its July Pulp & Paper Price Indices. The closely watched pulp index moved upward 1.85% from June 2007, reaching nearly 10.19% above year-ago July 2006, and 5.65% above January 2007. Indices reflect the success of North American pulp producers in raising July prices by $20/tonne to a list of $830/tonne at the beginning of the month. U.S. southern pine pulp producers also showed gains.
