(USA) Xpedx, Memphis, Tenn.-based International Papers' (NYSE: IP) distribution business, will operate Central Lewmar as a business unit, according to a news release. Central Lewmar, headquartered in Newark, N.J., is one of the largest privately owned packaging and paper distributors in the United States. The company employs about 550 and has annual sales of about $900 million.
Xpedx, with more than 240 locations and 2006 revenues of $6.7 billion, distributes printing papers, graphics supplies and equipment, packaging supplies and equipment, and janitorial supplies and equipment.
