Slovenian-based woodfree paper manufacturer Goricane has announced that its flagship brand Sora Matt paper grade is now Laser Guaranteed, making it suitable for all types of laser printing.
Sora Matt is a two-side matt coated paper, and Goricane’s flagship offset printing paper grade in its Graphic Papers range with excellent printing properties. Although a lightweight sheet, it has high bulk values, making it ideal for direct mailing purposes, where a high value bulky sheet may be required, but due to its light weight properties enables cost savings to be made on postage. Sora Matt is also suitable for books, magazines and poster printing, and has excellent environmental credentials, with the Goricane mill having attained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation in February this year.
The Sora Matt product range is produced in weights from 60-150gsm. As well as being suitable for laser printing applications, Sora Matt can also be used for web heat-set and offset printing in sheets.
The Goricane paper mill is one of the oldest paper mills in Slovenia, and produces some 90,000 tonnes per annum of both woodfree matt coated and uncoated papers, around 90% of which are exported to countries such as Germany, Poland, UK, France, Austria and Italy, whilst some quantities are also exported to places such as Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
The Goricane mill’s products are particularly suited to both the publishing and direct mail markets, primarily for printing applications in both sheet-fed offset and web offset.
However, Goricane also produces lightweight uncoated opaque papers for the pharmaceutical leaflet market, with their wide substance range from 37gsm-150gsm covering most applications.
Its other product ranges include grades such as; Sora Matt Plus, Sora Light, Sora Medico and Sora Silico.
Goricane’s exclusive paper agent in the UK is Yorkshire-based agency Papico.
