(Spain) Papeles & Cartones de Europa SA, Iberia's second-largest maker of paper used for packaging, plans to increase prices this year as demand outstrips supply reports Bloomberg.com.
Europac, as the company is known, forecast Europe's corrugated paper market will grow an average 1.8 percent annually through 2009. The Spanish producer boosted prices for corrugated paper, made out of wood fiber, an average 7 percent last year and 19 percent for recycled paper. Price increases for recycled paper are ``very likely'' in 2008, and that will help spur corrugated paper prices, he said, without giving a specific forecast.
