(Australia)--May 20, 2009--The Tasmanian Greens today called on Attorney-General Lara Giddings to fulfil her responsibility as the primary law officer in Tasmania and investigate the legal opinion provided by University of Tasmania law lecturer Dr Michael Stokes, that the pulp mill permits are invalid due to consultant Sweco Pic’s failure to assess 15 guidelines as specified by the Pulp Mill Assessment Act 2007.
