MIDDLETOWN, USA--Macrh 19, 2009-- Firefighters rescued five workers on a rooftop at Wausau Paper Thursday afternoon, March 19, helping them escape a fire that caused an estimated $500,000 in damage.

Fire ignited in an electrical room in the basement of the paper mill at 700 Columbia Ave. at about 12:25 p.m., said Tom Snively, assistant fire chief for the Middletown Division of Fire.
