(USA)--May 20, 2009--When Dr. Gary A. Baum first began teaching at the Institute of Paper Chemistry (IPC), he found an interesting way to get students thinking about the same ideas he was mulling: he made it their homework. Baum built on the resulting cascade of ideas to create a body of work that eventually added a "third dimension" to the way we view paper.
