(Indonesia) More than one million workers in two paper industries in Riau province are facing the possibility of being laid off due to a raw material supply problem.
"The number of direct and indirect workers in Sinarmas and Riaupulp is more than one million and they may be laid off if the companies stop operation following a shortage of raw material," the chairman of the Association of Indonesian Employers (Apindo), Sofyan Wanandi, said here on Wednesday.
